 A few years ago when I first started working at an animal supplies warehouse, one of the coworkers asked me if I minded if he could have a break and go on the roof with him for a while. I remember thinking to myself that it would not be a problem since I had done it before with my co-workers and one of them actually told me about how they liked it and thought it was funny. Well, I let him have the roof for a little while and went up with him. Of course this co-worker was not joking about going up with him. It was quite a night and I will never forget the freezing cold weather and how cold I felt just from standing on the roof.

The funny thing is he never bought any of my stuff, but he would give me discounts and when I would go home with one of his items he would be very appreciative. He even gave me one of his prized Dachshund puppies for my birthday one year when I just turned 18. When I told my boss about this story a couple of months later he fired me because he thought I was wasting time and money by going to this animal supplies warehouse for discounts. Perhaps he thought I would go back to him next time I needed some stuff and buy something I didn't need or want.
